Met up with mummiee, daddee and sis for dinner at Soup Restaurant in Jurong Point.
Was pretty nice. Some of the food are normal but the soup is really good.

Photobucket
Broccoli and Scallops. pretty normal too

The reason I look so much younger is because this man, my father gave up his life and time to provide for us.

Arukuaraundo - Sakanakushon

This MTV is by far one of the most innovative one I've ever seen. The last part actually is the starting. Besides that, the way they play with Japanese words are really cool.

MUST WATCH

Kazu Sumiyaki

Previous had it with Kenneth, Weichai and Ken.
This time with Sokpeng, Kelvin and Shunren.

Ownage. It was really good. Price-wise, a tad expensive.

They always say the ones that understand you best and know something is wrong and asks you about it, are wonderful people.

And only a few noticed even though I unknowingly dropped bits and pieces of what is going on..

A man fell into a ditch. Different people passed by the ditch.

Realist: “That is a ditch.”

Optimist: “Things will get better.”

Pessimist: “Things will get worst.”

Christian Scientist: “You only think you are in a ditch.”

Motivation Speaker: “Let me teach you to how to motivate yourself in a ditch.”

Newspaper reporter: “I’ll pay you for an exclusive story about life in the ditch.”

City official: “Did you get a permit for your ditch life?”

Mathematician: “I’ll calculate the length and depth and width of the ditch.”

Preacher: “I see three things about the ditch that are noteworthy.”

Taxman: “Have you paid your taxes for the ditch?”

Jesus: “Give me your hand.”

It struck me when I read this in an article.

Which one of the roles above suits us best? Do we walk past the ditch and go tsk tsk tsk but never holding out our hands to help? What is stopping you from showing compassion to people around you?

Compassion is a foreign word to a lot of us. Many times an ordinary scene of an old lady begging by the streets tugging at our hearts. What do we do? Most of us will choose to walk away.

First of all, Happy Birthday Sylvia!

I hope she enjoys today as it is a day where her mother went through great labour pains to give birth. Probably everyone going through birthdays should give a hug and thanks to their mother.

On a different note, today I received the news that uncle Vincent passed away. It wasn't a shock though as he have been diagnosed with cancer last year. My testimonial to him is that he is a very cheerful person. Even much more so than me. He will always tap my tummy and ask me where my father is whenever he could not find him in church.

Uncle Vincent is one of the founding members along with Uncle Thomas and Uncle Christopher Gan for the Family Rosary in Jurong area. Yes, I've blogged about both uncle Thomas and uncle Gan previously as they both have passed away too battling with illness but everyone went off peacefully in their sleep.

I always love to listen to uncle Vincent and my father sharing their views. He is one of the truly few that can make me laugh like crazy on the times he joke.

The last time I saw him.. was December last year. His grandson just nice reached a month old. But he is undergoing chemotherapy so he could not come out to entertain us but instead stayed in his room. Yeah, he was spending his days at his son's place at the condo above Jurong point. From his room window, you can directly look at the people at the platform. ULTRA COOL.

So, he was telling us if we wanna visit him again, we can shout from the platform and he will wave a handkerchief at us from his room lol

Finally, I want to thank him for all the joy and help he have given me and my family. A similarly impressive man as with Uncle Thomas and Uncle Christopher Gan.
After attending their funerals and looking at the huge crowd that gathered each night, I made up my mind that I will do to change enough people's lives to have them say their farewells to me if I should go one day too.

Some might laugh at this idea and claims that I'm too young for that. I might be. But relationships between human beings doesn't appear overnight. And I felt sad every time I hear about someone's relative funeral and only relatives and business partners appearing to pay their respect.

I want to learn from the three uncles' examples and be someone that people are willing and wholeheartedly come for my funeral from deep down in their hearts. I will probably go every night for the next few nights helping out in the funeral. Some asked am I his grandson or nephew but I replied no. I only help because I want to, and he gave me lots of reason for me to do it willingly.

Mind you, I'm not some saint or ultra helpful person. I'm as lazy as everyone is, minding my own business. But uncle Vincent is my "business"

I couldn't sleep well last night.
It is those nights where you try to knock yourself out but still floating between sleep and lying on bed.

Basket. 8.30am lesson zzz I shall sleep early tonight.

Thank you soksok for being there with me yesterday. Though you claim that there is nothing you did to cheer me up, but it does not always have to do something to make a difference.
Sometimes someone's presence or a listening ear is much appreciated and is enough to make a difference =)

I think my New Year wish is to get a good pair of running shoes. Either my shoes sucks or my running technique is wrong. I'm starting to get shin splints ..

Cool. Cool.
Going to school again finally.
I wonder am I excited or nervous. Feels so edgy.

This is crappy. 2nd day of 2010 and I'm feeling lazy.

Maybe I should just sleep earlier.

You know, I'm supposed to be happily enjoying since School is starting soon, again after 2 years. But I'm instead dreading it.
So much plans for everything yet when it actually comes to doing them, the thought is a total madness.
